MKD International, Inc. started doing business in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1988. When imported paper was very scarce, MKD bought huge inventories and exclusively marketed Asian, European, and Scandinavian paper grades in the southeast for the first time.

The Daouk family is no stranger to the paper distribution. Zaki, Nazih, and Kamel Daouk are the fourth generation expanding the business with new suppliers and grades to the market.

The focus at MKD is to remain easy to do business with and to be very efficient in its operation. Even as the company grows, it becomes even more important to reduce unnecessary steps and expenses to provide good and consistent service from the paper mill to the printer.

Some of the cities MKD is currently servicing are Atlanta, Birmingham, Chattanooga, Louisville, and Nashville. Next-day service and local warehousing are available as the needs of each city grow with the grades MKD distributes.
